Eligibility Criteria for Pakistan Metrological Department PMD Jobs 2024:

The eligibility criteria for the different jobs in the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) shall include educational qualifications, relevant experiences and age limits, etc.

For the Graduate Assistant (Ministerial) post, a B.Sc degree with subjects like meteorology environment, space science, or relevant ones will be needed with an age limit of 18-28 years with a five-year relaxation for some categories.

The Metrological Assistant needs a B.Sc in general relevant subjects and an IT training course for six weeks during the probation period.

The Data Entry Operator has a B.Sc in Science, preferably in Statistics or Mathematics, alongside a minimum typing speed of 10,000 key depressions per hour.

The position of Sub-Engineer (Electronics) demands a 3 years diploma post-Matric DAE in Electronics or relevant fields complemented with local clerks requiring an F.Sc degree and literacy in computers.

Additional posts like Senior Observer, Radio Mechanic, and Mechanic Grade-II will have specific qualification requirements such as Matriculation in Science or part of experience in technical repairs including not less than 3 years of involvement in Radio/TV repair or any other mechanical work.

The age limit for all posts is 18 to 25 years with a relaxation of 5 years for various categories like Sindh (R), Balochistan, and persons with disabilities. Candidates with computer literacy or those with a history of working in international organizations also get preference.

As per advertisement applicants, all interested candidates can apply through the National Job Portal (NJP) at https://njp.gov.pk by 15 days after the advertisement publish date. It should be clearly mentioned that any incomplete applications and applications received after the scheduled date will not be entertained.
