Applications are available from State Talent Scholarships for the students of Azad Jammu & Kashmir studying in public, semi-government and private educational institutions in AJK. This is an exclusive scholarship from this body for students from only three schools, in which the grant will be awarded to those who pass the annual examination for the year 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for Higher Education Department Scholarship 2025:

This state talent scholarship is meant for those students who will successfully qualify for their annual examination in 2024, therefore making them eligible for the scholarship. Academic criteria for eligibility would vary as per the educational level of students. These include 908 marks for middle-level students; at least 85% for Matriculation; for Intermediate, at least 80% marks to be eligible, and 70% marks at least for Bachelor’s and Professional Courses; and for Higher Secondary Professional Courses, at least 80% marks. Students in a 3-year diploma program registered with TEVTA should also have attained at least 60% in their marks to be eligible.

The scholarship would be for students confined to institutions within Azad Jammu and Kashmir. For 5% relaxation on marks, students must also submit certification from their respective district commissioner. This category of students is that which resides within 2 km from the Line of Control (LoC). However, this scholarship does not cover government servants, part-time students, and students in distance education.

The applicant should attach all verified documentation of their transcripts, State Subject Certificate, Domicile Certificate, CNIC, and any other required certifications. Forms must be submitted and verified by the head of the institution. In addition, any candidate receiving any other scholarship would not be eligible. Any misrepresentation will lead to disqualification and possible legal action.

HED AJK Scholarship 2025 Application Process:

Subsequently, all those interested in applying for a State Talent Scholarship shall download the formally announced downloadable scholarship application document through the website of the Higher Education Department at https://hed.ajk.gov.pk. After downloading the form, it should be filled out completely and correctly and affixed with verified copies of the requisites such as the State Subject Certificate, domicile, recent academic transcripts, CNIC or Form-B, and any other certificates that applicants think may be required. Those who reside adjacent to the Line of Control (LoC) must also submit an affidavit from the Deputy Commissioner for any special facility.

The application form should be verified and should bear his/her signature of the head of the educational establishment currently being attended by the applicant. After this verification, the completed application form should be sent by postal mail to the Higher Education Department, Muzaffarabad, with a cover letter from the institution. All applications must arrive before 28th February 2025 during office hours. Otherwise, candidates will not be entertained to submit after the due date or process incomplete applications under any circumstances.
